World Martial Art Mastership

Looking for a better cooperation with JJIF the organizing committee from 2016 Cheongju event visited the headquarters in

Abu Dhabi to discuss with JJIF management department.

The discontinuation of SportAccord World Combat Games left a magnitude gap in the program for Martial Art events in the World.

The organizing committee of 2016 Cheonju WOLRD MARTIAL ART MASTERSHIP competition like to compensate this.

Mr. Gi Sick Jeoung, Expert Advisor of the Organizing committee, pointed out that this first edition is not ready yet to replace the World Combat Games but the vision and future of the festival is to grow in attention and dimension.

Ju-Jitsu is part of the Games with all the three diciplines Fighting, Duo and Ne-Waza. A reduced number of categories will guarantee a good competition even there is no qualification in this first edition of the games.

JJIF Sportdirector Joachim Thumfart belived that this global martial art festival has the potential to become a major event in the combat sports program and the level will increase very fast.

The organizer managed to retrieve further funds so a accomodation can now be offered for $ 40,- per person per night including all costs of transport (as well airport Inchon to Cheongju) and full board.
Additional competition costs will not be incurred!

JJIF management team, under the leadership of Fahad Al Shamsi, promised to support the event as good as possible. The director for international relation, Dr. Jaffer Al Muthafer, started immedately to motivate JJIF member federations to send competitors for the great inicative to that event.

We like to thang the 2016 organizing committee for the contribution to martial arts and Ju-Jitsu
