European Championship 2018

Gliwice, Poland June 2018

During the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 June in Gliwice, Poland the European Championships where organized by the Polish JuJitsu federation in cooperation with JJEU. In the brand new sport hal Gliwice Arena the Polish federation created a top sports atmosphere for all participants. Like last years we where supported by the Chiropractors who where doing again a great job for all who needed a setup. Thanks a lot again to these fantastic people. 

On Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd the European Championship for Seniors where organized, 322 registered athletes where fighting in these 2 days for the title EUROPEAN CHAMPION 2018. 

On Sunday the 3rd of June for the first time JJEU organized the European Championship for masters, 113 athletes out of 15 countries had a great time during this Championships, old friends, fighting each other for 10 years or longer ago, now again found each other back on the tatami, older, wiser and sometimes having some more weight as years before, they now fight each other with a great spirit of friendship. Of course it was all about the medals, so really nice fights in JiuJitsu Newaza, DUO system and of course fighting system held place on the mats. JJEU is looking back at a great Masters event and is looking forward to the next edition in 2019 in Bucharest.

Also on Sunday the 3rd the European Championships in MIX teams hold place, France is the new European Champion in TEAMS, Poland became 2nd and Germany and Russia finished this competition as 3rd.
