Ju-Jitsu German Open Gelsenkirchen at the heart of the Ruhrgebiet
JJIF Grand Slam - German Open 2018 with over 500 participants representing 21 countries from 102 different clubs from 3 continents (Europe, Asia and Africa) in three disciplines Duo, Fighting and Jiu-Jitsu (Ne-Waza)
Was a great experience and extreme preparation for the nearly approaching European Championships for Juniors and Aspirants at the end of October in Bologna, Italy. Particularly gratifying was the large number of duo teams in all age categories.
The favorites among the seniors dominated the competition on Saturday and Sunday. The Juniors and Aspirants had some exciting fights in all disciplines so there will be a fascinating finish of the year at the World Championships at Malmö, Sweden.
The competition ended with fair and successful result where five (5) European countries step up in the top 5 rank:
Belgium: 14 GOLD 11 SILVER 9 BRONZE
Germany: 12 GOLD 26 SILVER 30 BRONZE
Poland: 6 GOLD 3 SILVER 6 BRONZE
