In order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in its management and in order to accommodate
continental requirements and / or necessities of local Ju-Jitsu activities, the Board of Directors of JJIF
may decree the appointment of JJIF Commissioners or the establishment of Continental JJIF Unions
and still maintain an overall co-ordination role and power world-wide.
The Commissioners or Continental Unions will adhere and honour the spirit and the content of the JJIF
Statutes and will take responsibility for the local complementation of the JJIF directives, reporting
directly to the President of JJIF.
Commissioners may be nominated to act on behalf of the JJIF Board until the Continental area assigned
to them has less than five Nations accepted as Members of JJIF
When the number of Member Nations equals or exceeds five, then a Continental JJIF Union will be
established over the Continental Area concerned. An exception is made for North America where 2
Member Nations (USA and Canada) are sufficient to establish a local Union.
Ju Jitsu International Federation
The JJIF Unions will have a Board composed by:
_ PRESIDENT elected by local Members,
_ VICE PRESIDENT elected by local Members,
_ SECRETARY elected by local Members,
_ TREASURER elected by local Members.
The Board of the JJIF Unions will establish Continental Committees as needed, and will nominate the
chairmen of such Committees under the umbrella of the equivalent JJIF Committees.
The Continental Unions may set-up their own local activity of JJIF and, in any case, following the
orientation of JJIF.
The Continental Unions will have to comply to the broad political and technical directives given by the
JJIF Board and must send minutes of official annual meetings to JJIF.
The President of JJIF is by right appointed Chairman to all Continental Union Boards in his advisory
and co-ordinating capacity.
The Presidents of the Continental Unions are by right members of the JJIF Board with consultative
functions; they should also make recommendations to JJIF about new National Members from their
Unions.
