JJIF Board Meeting

The Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) led by its president Panagiotis Theodoropoulos were recently received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Also in attendance in the meeting that was held at Al Bahr Palace were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region.

They welcomed the JJIF delegation who came along with members of the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation and athletes who won in the continental and international competitions last year.

The esteemed highnesses Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed congratulated the winners with their exemplary performances.

During the meeting, they stressed the need for the athletes to keep on striving for excellence and continue winning in global tournaments.

Also discussed were the remarkable, qualitative progress of the martial art during recent years and its increasing popularity across the world. 

The UAE leaders were equally grateful to the JJIF for supporting and encouraging the sport, which contributed to its progress.

Early this January 2017, the UAE bagged 105 medals in the fourth round held in Abu Dhabi.

JJIF board had the First meeting 2017 with a huge agenda. to prepare the next years and a structure serving the devellopment of Ju-Jitsu.
