Fair Play - Clean Ju-Jitsu

Following an in-competition doping control carried out on 24 October 2013 at the World Combat Games, please notifying an Adverse Analytical Finding.

The A Sample has resulted in an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) for the following substances: Nandrolone metabolites and Furosemide which belong respectively to class S1.1 (Anabolic Androgenic Steroids) and class S5 (Diuretics and Other Masking Agents) of the 2013 WADA’s prohibited list.

Due to this result the athlete Mariusz Abramiuk (Poland) in ne-waza, -70 kg, has been disqualified and suspended for 2 years.

The achieved 3rd place will be given to Wilson Alzate Cortés (COL) [fight bracket]

Until October 2015 Mr. ABRAMIUK is not allowed to participate in Ju-Jitsu competitions.

JJIF like to encourage all athletes to keep them updated with the actual regulations of WADA and especially take care with self-medication and supplementary nutrition. Often harmless medics can contain prohibited substances and only some producers of nutrition supplementary give a Doping Free guarantee.
