The youth in JJIF shows a strong performance
The World Championship for juniors and Aspirants in Athens was another prove for the rising popularity of Ju-Jitsu in the world. The Greek federation gave a perfect organization for the young Ju-Jitsu Champions to perform their abilities.
In Athens the excellence of organization and sportive performance met for three days.
While the Greek Sport-Fan Amateur Ju-Jitsu Federation organized one of the best championships ever in JJIF this was the perfect floor for the athletes to show the constantly growing quality of the competitions.
Almost 600 athletes from 27 countries met in Athens for exiting competitions. The organizer had even more registrations but strict Visa regulations of Schengen obstructed the participation.
The event was organized in the Olympic Sports hall where 2004 the competitions for Judo and Taekwondo had been held.
After three days of engaged competitions Russia could prove again the strength of their team. With 16 gold medals the team dominated the competition in total.
With the help of Ju-Jitsu Asian Union a referee clinics helped to transfer knowledge about the new rules and help with a faster adaption to the new rules which had been already valid in the Asian beach Games 2014.
